Come and join Cross Creek Railway to celebrate Christmas by riding the rail on a visiting miniature steam or electric train. After the Christmas Parade say hello to Santa in his grotto and ask him for all the wonderful Christmas Presents you have been dreaming about! Take your children and visit Huff N Puff, John’s entertainment area. Fly down the Bouncy Castle, swing up to clouds in the Ferris Wheel then ride around on the Merry Go Round . Wonderful fun! Chill out on the grass in front of the band and listen to ‘The Cool Cats’ THE COOL CATS FOUR aim to put a spring in your step and a smile on your dial Fun times abound around the guys who make up the COOL CATS so strap on your happy feet and all that jazz. Hartley Towersey plays Sax and Clarinet. Founder member of the famous local Ruamahunga River Band. Hans De Vries: Guitar. Has played in the hot spots of Holland and Scandinavia. Miles Reay: Bass. Has recorded and toured NZ and Australia with The Hamilton County Bluegrass Band. Roger Gordon Wiles:Ex The Gremlins 60s pop group who reached no2 on the top 10 in the 60s with The Coming Generation. So come and chill out with the COOL CATS you won’t be disappointed!
The new season for Cross Creek Railway starts in September with the trains running on the 1st Friday Night of the month until April 2018 (bring a picnic tea, ride the rail and visit with the Featherston 1st Friday entertainment) At the moment the train is running only on Saturdays 11.30am-2.00pm How about joining our driving team and have fun driving or being a Stationmaster.
