Community Music Junction invites you to a one day Community Choral ‘Sing-Shop’. Singing for all ages and levels of experience; new songs from the world’s cultures.

‘Sing-Shop’ is run by Victoria Jones from the Martinborough Community Choir, and Julian Raphael, director of the Wellington Community Choir.

As director of Community Music Junction he operates in Wellington enabling adults and children to sing together and learn a variety of musical instruments and he tours the country running workshops for schools, teachers and singing communities.

What is Community Music?
It is about providing opportunities for people to make music regardless of their previous knowledge and experience. Music can help people express things, empower them, create positive attitudes, build confidence and open routes to new opportunities. Music brings people together as well as providing an enjoyable and fulfilling range of activities.

The purpose is to help place music-making in the hands and voices of everyone by creating equal opportunities for people to enjoy active and creative participation in music.
