Cross Creek Blues Club
If you weren’t among the capacity audience filled the Tin Hut for the first Cross Creek Blues Club of 2014, check out at http://crosscreekblues.org Our very own Bob Cooper- Grundy and Kate Marshall combined with Karen Clarke, Wayne Morris and Warwick Hill to bring us “Hard Candy” a searing blend of country rock and blues with some boogie and swing.
Our favorite Australian, virtuoso bluesman Nick Charles returns in February. http://www.charlesguitar.com
Al Hensley – Rhythms Magazine December 2012 wrote:
“Charles plays six and twelve-string acoustic guitars, resophonic guitars and mandolin with dazzling finesse. From his warm, expressive vocals to his dexterous fingerpicking and earthy slide, Charles’ mastery of the country blues in its various shapes and forms is striking. Whether it’s pre-war jazz inflected picking in the style of Lonnie Johnson, folk blues, Delta Piedmont or his own compositions, Nick Charles is the consummate talent!!
Local Blues club musicians will support Nick Charles at the Tin Hut, Wednesday 5 February 2014 from 7:15. (Dinner from 5pm)
The Tin Hut also has a special return performance of “Swamp Things” in the evening on Valentines Day February 14th. These highly accomplished musicians are not to be missed!
