Friends of Martinborough Library group

March 15, 2017 March 2017 No Comments

Martinborough Library now has a group for keen library supporters and book lovers. Everyone is invited to join the Friends of Martinborough Library and become part of our friendly library community. Friends groups support libraries all over New Zealand and are an important part of library life. Friends:
· fundraise for library projects
· receive invitations to library events
· advocate for and promote the library.

Our current project is to provide furnishings for the children’s area in the new Waihinga Centre Library.  This will be finished early in 2018 and we need to raise $10,000 for shelving and seating.

Membership is by annual subscription.  As we are a Charitable Trust all money raised goes to the library.

To join or enquire, contact Shirley at the library and become part of the Martinborough Library community.
