INNER WHEEL SOUTH WAIRARAPA

March 10, 2021 March 2021 No Comments

20th January our club had two outings to attend.  The first was to Cobblestones Museum for morning tea with scones and jam and cream a real treat.

Janette Wallace Gedge gave a very interesting talk about the volunteers to help to run Cobblestones, she also showed us the booklet cobblestones museum

HE TAONGA Wairarapa’s Heritage. The author Anne Hayden was also present and several members purchased the book which Anne very kindly signed for us. The book tells a story of many of the buildings and articles in the collection and of how the Museum came about.  It is very informative and well worth purchasing. The book can be purchased from the Cobblestone shop or the bookshop in Main street.  Well done Anne a great read.

Our second outing was to the Lavender gardens in Carterton where you can buy some of the worlds freshest, most fragrant boutique lavender, you can also pick your own lavender. You can also purchase Lavender Floral Water and Lavender filled organza bags.  The Lavender gardens are well worth a visit.

Our monthly meeting for dinner start again this month ,will be good to catch up with members after the long break..

All new members are most welcome.
