How would you like a ‘Quite interesting’ book or a ‘Book to tickle your fancy’.  Well, you can find one quite easily in The Kabin on the shelves labeled; ‘ Quite interesting Books and Books to tickle your fancy’ – ask if you can’t find them.  But as we only have 4 bookshelves it won’t be too difficult!

All the books are non-fiction but quirky and different – well I think so anyway!  From the history of Ambergris, the art of Burlesque, art from vegetables, you name it and we probably have it.

We also have loads of new books coming in to all three libraries and the shelves are heaving – we need more customers to take them out so we can fit them all in. This is a busy time for publishers in the run up to Christmas and our busiest time for ordering and receiving new titles. If you can’t see it in the catalogue or on the shelf, then please ask, as we may not have had time to order it or have missed it – and we can’t have that.

School holidays are here and we have ‘Library monopoly’ in all our libraries. A simple throw of the dice and you can be off reading something completely different to usual, with the incentive of a prize at the end for reading it. Come and see how it works.
Also check out the SWDC website where all our activities and news are displayed – you can even subscribe to receive updates by email.

Remember to check the catalogue and email or ring us to get a PIN number so you can reserve and renew books.  Also have fun logging on to our E.books and downloading – for FREE.

Most things are free at the library and we look forward to seeing you there soon.
