Martinborough Lawn Tennis Club

Summer is almost here and with it comes a big season for the Martinborough Lawn Tennis Club. Not only do we have the usual Business House, junior programme, senior interclub, midweek ladies and Over The Hill tournament planned, but we also have a major upgrade to the artificial courts on the cards. In collaboration with the Martinborough junior hockey and senior netball clubs, a project is underway to replace the two worn artificial courts, purchase moveable nets and install court lighting. This exciting multi-sport development is dependent on getting the required funding, but is hoped to be completed over the next few months. In the meantime here is what’s coming up and how to get involved:
Junior Tennis – Sign up for junior tennis is 3:30pm Monday 12th Oct down at the tennis club. Coaching will be Monday nights with interclub on Fridays.

Business House – This will start on Tues 27th/Wed 28th Oct. Captains from previous years teams will be contacted, but teams are often looking for players, so please email martinboroughtennis@gmail.com if you are interested in playing.

Lawn Mowing & Cleaning – The club is looking for someone to provide mowing services throughout the season, as well as someone to give the clubhouse a clean once a week.
