“Party Marty” our local open air community fundraising concert is back. And summer is nearly here so we’re having a party to usher her in!

Dedicated to all you hard-working, creative, self-sacrificing, inspiring, pioneering wonders out there! Open to all of you who are craving the refreshment of Something New, hope for Something Else, or you want nothing more than a few hours to dance like crazy and enjoy some friends and family time. Dance like you never realized you could, with a bunch of like-minded folk – then “Party Marty” Is Where You Want to Be!

We are still working toward our goal of giving our building her well over due facelift! She’s an icon in our community and we want her to be around for the next 100 years looking sharp and swish! We have a wee way to go yet so get in behind our event and come and have a great time!
Featuring two bands this year all for $20 and kids are FREE!*

“Way Out West” performs some of your favorite country songs from the early Johnny Cash years, to 70’s artists such as The Eagles, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers & Linda Ronstadt, and through to current country stars such as Shania Twain & Dixie Chicks.

Phil Darkins, has entertained in a variety of bands, and notably a regular on the hit 80’s TV show “That’s Country”. Nicole Chesterman-Kircher joins Phil on lead vocals. She was also an original member of the critically acclaimed Pink Floyd Experience. Trevor Faulknor who has recently converted from heavy metal to being a born again Hillbilly! Guitarist Darren Whitaker is the founding member of The Pink Floyd Experience.

Keyboard player Dean Barcham found himself underage in Frankie Steven’s nightclub band in the late 80’s!. Drummer Andrew Richardson has a wealth of live experience playing a vast array of different styles He currently plays in top band “Shakin Not Stirred”.

“Life In The Fast Lane” A talented Wellington band fronted by (The Singing Bee and Dancing With The Stars singer) Grant Sullivan and Matthew Pike, this Kiwi tribute to the Eagles music is as close to the original sound as you will get anywhere in the world! With the musical talent of Chris Cresswell , Gary Taylor and Andrew Richardson this group will take you on a memorable journey through some of the greatest hits of all time!

All in one spectacular show right here in our backyard at Martinborough Rugby Club! So dust off your dancing shoes, pull out your picnic blanket and come join us for a memorable evening!
Fun for all, delicious local food stalls accompanied with wines and beer as its NO BYO and it’s a total glass ban. * Kid’s under12 are free entry with adult supervision. We have but not limited to: Ferris wheels, air castles, mini bikes and a lollipop train to keep the kiddies entertained.
We have a limited number of free Motorhome sites available for the 15th,16th and 17th bookings essential. Contact Brian 0221039019 or email bnmarshall@hotmail.com. We also have parking available on site at $2 going to our local Martinborough Kindy and all funds are going towards the upgrade of our Rugby Club Building.

Tickets are available online www.iticket.co.nz $20pp + booking fee for Saturday 16th November. Gates open at 3pm concert goes till 8pm and numbers are limited so be in quick.
