P&K Marty Masters Se7ens 2022

October 14, 2022 October 2022, Sports No Comments

Winning team Wairarapa United. They specifically wanted to thank Paul Ifill who unfortunately had to leave before the final.

Once again Martinborough FC gives thanks to everyone involved for making the P+K Marty Masters 7s 2022 such an enjoyable event to host and play in. Every year the opposition seems to be getting younger, bigger, and faster, but maybe that is purely just relative!

I only saw the one ‘orange card’ handed out and I think that was even encouraged by members of the same team, never mind the opposition. I was also lucky enough to witness the goal of the day. Thanks must be given also to the Martinborough weather which played its part.

We could not put on this tournament without the generosity of our local community sponsors, please do support them whenever you can.
P&K, ATA RANGI, MASTERS AND JACK WINE, CRAGGY RANGE, TERROIR WINES, DRY RIVER, CIRCUS CINEMA, MARTINBOROUGH VINEYARD,MARTINBOROUGH TOP10 HOLIDAY PARK, MARTINBOROUGH HOTEL,TOM WILSON MOTORS, NEIGHBOURHOOD COFFEE, THE CLAREMONT MOTEL AND APARTMENTS, DR BEAK, MARTINBOROUGH RUGBY CLUB.

The final was worthy of the level of the tournament with some good goals. Congratulations to Wairarapa United for the 3-0 win over the luckless Waterside Dreamers and for their back to back victories.

Finally, if you wish to enter a 7s team next year please email us at: martinboroughjuniorfc@gmail.com. Anyone interested in playing next year please work on your games, we do not wish for a threepeat in 2023.  See you all in 2023

On behalf of our club thanks again to everyone who made the 2022 tournament such a success – Grant
