Round the Vines is 25 years!

March 10, 2021 March 2021 No Comments

This year Round the Vines will be celebrating the 25th year of the iconic 10 & 21km walking and running event, on Saturday 20th March 2021.

The event is organised each year as an annual fundraiser for Martinborough School, attracting over 1200 punters from across the country, eager to walk or run the picturesque 10km or 21km course.  Participants of all ages, walk or run through vineyards and along country roads, stopping at drink stations to enjoy live music, and taste wine (or water).

Round the Vines is well known for its amazing prizes, with the majority of participants dressing up for the occasion, with prizes awarded to the best dressed individuals and teams. All prizes are generous donated by the Martinborough, Wairarapa and the wider business community. The major prize this year is a night for two at Wharekauhau Country Estate, valued at over $1500.

Event committee member Angela Scott, said “we have had an overwhelming response to this year’s 25th Round the Vines. Although the event was postponed last year due to Covid-19, almost everyone who booked last year is coming back, along with a lot of new entries. Many are making a weekend of it, which will be great for the whole community.”

There is still time to book tickets to this years event. To book visit https://www.roundthevines.org.nz for more information and to purchase tickets.
