Shame on burglars
Martinborough School was broken into over the last weekend of the school holidays. Two large Samsung televisions were taken – from rooms eight and nine.
Principal Craig Nelson said that it was really disappointing that people of the community feel the need to take resources and funding from children.
The school is having to buy new televisions as well as investing in security camera systems with the hope of returning any goods that may be removed in the future.
The school would welcome any support in finding the equipment or information which would help track down the people who have done this.
Room nine pupils expressed their thoughts which included: “Burglars – why would you want to steal Room eight and nine’s televisions when you can just work harder and earn yourself a TV. You just took away our learning”.
