SING IT TO MY FACE

September 11, 2015 September 2015 No Comments

THE PROJECT:
Sing It To My Face, by Wellington based theatre company Barbarian Productions, is an inter-generational music theatre project featuring local Wairarapa singers. Four different generational choirs will let each other know how they really feel about society in a stylised, theatrical performance of a fully scored choral arrangement. The libretto, crafted by Jo Randerson is based on a cross generational survey held in the Wairarapa and set to music by Julian Raphael (Community Music Junction).

We are looking for singers from 6 – 99 years of age, from all corners of the Wairarapa. Confident singers and first-timers welcome!
For the show performers will form four different choirs according to their age
• Children’s choir 6 – 12 yrs
• Under 30’s choir
• 30 – 60 yrs choir
• 60 + choir

The performances are part of the Kokomai Creative Festival and performance days will be Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th October, 2015.
