South Wairarapa Tramping Club

South-Wairarapa-Tramping-club No boots? Not a problem!
SOUTH WAIRARAPA TRAMPING CLUB often opts for local day walks during the winter months, which fit easily into the shorter hours of daylight. These Saturday walking trips provide manageable outings for all age groups and levels of fitness. Two of our recent day walks have been on the delightful Masterton walkways, commencing and finishing at Henley Lake; and from Ngawi to the stone wall where the landscape never fails to impress. These local day walks have been balanced with repeat visits to Atiwhakatu Hut and Mount Reeves, each trip contributing variety to our club outings.

So… don’t let your ‘NO BOOTS’ response prevent you from joining us on a trip this winter. There is something for everyone on the SWTC trip list and a welcome awaits you. Simply phone Barry Kempton (06) 3049353 or Carol Major (06) 3048210 for trip details. Becoming involved in an organised and exhilarating walk is as easy as that!
And remember that WALKING – that most ancient form of exercise – is still the best modern exercise!
This month’s WALKING quote; ‘Now shall I walk Or shall I ride?’ ‘Ride, Pleasure said: ‘Walk,’ Joy replied. – W H Davies, 1871-1940 Welsh poet and writer.
