Notice for Martinborough Star (March issue)
While February was a quiet month for the tramping club (members’ family commitments and some adverse weather), March promises a full and varied programme.
February trips included a walk up the headwaters of the Turanganui River. Helen Morison led the party of eight on an easy and enjoyable trip that incorporated some 30 river fordings. The last February trip will be from the Wellington wind turbine to Owhiro Bay via Red Rocks.

Planned trips for March will be as follows.
I March – Atiwhakatu Hut (Tararuas). Leaders, Mary and Bruce Lambert Ph 304 9697. Category medium
8 March – Kelly’s Track (Rimutakas). Leaders, Kay and David Bowie Ph 304 9530. Category easy.
22 March – Old Coach Road, Ohariu Valley. Leader, Carol Major Ph 3048210. Category easy.
Interested persons are most welcome. Please phone the nominated leader by the Thursday evening prior to the trip.
