The Martinborough Bowling Club conducted a highly successful Fun Trivia afternoon on Sunday August 23 in the Regent St clubhouse.

More than 50 eager trivia buffs converged on the premises prepared to battle out a diverse array of trivial questions prepared by quizmasters Richard Anderson and ” Aussie ” Ron from the Masterton club.
After wading through eight categories , of sometimes mind numbing trivia , it was a resounding victory for club member Tony Lee and his team of family members ,joined by local lady Julia Murray , who emerged victorious on the day .

President Pedro McGillicuddy was lavish in his praise for organisers Jannalle Frew , Neville Smith and bar manager Dave Murray.

He also thanked all participants for their attendance and good humour throughout the course of the afternoon .
Special mention was made to the volunteers who assisted with the setting up of the event on the morning and the previous days work bee.

Sonny Crawford , Bob Knight , Neville Smith and local new members Ken and Colleen were thanked for their contribution in making the day a great success.
Any person interested in more information regarding the club can call in on Friday evenings from 5 pm for some light hearted chat and drinks .
