Knitters do it again

August 11, 2014 August 2014 Comments Off on Knitters do it again

A colourful display of blankets, hats and jerseys knitted for Operation Cover-up, were shown on Saturday 26th July at the St Andrew’s Anglican Church Hall in Martinborough.

They have now been packed and trucked to Auckland for shipment to orphanages in Ukraine, Moldova and Romania where they will be distributed to orphanages and poor families before the onset of their (severe) winter.

The blanket raffled to raise funds to buy new wool for knitters was won by Philippa Arapoff of Ponatahi.
