A big thank you to everyone who came to the Birthday Party for the Town Hall – it was a wonderful event and congratulations to the organisers of the Ball who also had a fab night. Well done and it is great to see the younger ones in town taking an interest in restoring the Town Hall. 

As usual Council had plenty of applicants for the Sparc Rural Travel Fund – we were able to give everyone a grant with only 3 needing to provide more information.  It would seem that the applicants are taking care to apply properly the first time to save waiting for the money.  … Continue Reading

Stuffed Mushrooms

Ingredients:
4 – 6 medium sized stuffing cup mushrooms.
2 more mushrooms finely chopped
½ onion finely chopped.
Four rashers bacon , rinds removed –roughly chopped
½ cup wholemeal breadcrumbs.
Fresh herbs of your choice.
Garlic – optional
Enough Edam or Mozzarella cheese to place a layer in each mushroom.
Cream to bind.
Seasoning.
