Featherston’s problems
Having read these two articles I can’t help but think that you have a personal axe to grind. The new liquor store is in the building of the Kia Ora Dairy as you state but you do not mention that , council willing, the replacement dairy – with no liquor sales – will be a few doors away. You seem to think that Trust House cater for everybody’s pocket, so why is it that Fresh Choice in Greytown has no trouble in filling their bus on Tuesday taking people – mainly pensioners who have to be careful what they spend – to and from their supermarket? … Continue Reading

The Martinborough Volunteer Fire Brigade is pleased to announce that four recruits who joined last year passed their basic training course run by the National Fire Service at the training centre in Rotorua.  All four are now fully qualified to perform the critical fire fighting duties of search and rescue and fire suppression inside burning structures.

The Brigade wishes to thank their training officer Dan Meehan who guided them through hundreds of hours of training over the past year.  Also we thank their employers who have been supportive, Martinborough Hotel Bar and Grill, Reload Bar and Restaurant , Circus Cinema, Oldfield Group, Village Cafe and Cafe Medici.
