The Wellington Regional Council held what was described as a vigorous meeting last week in which Upper Hutt representative Paul Swain called the Council to withdraw its support for the proposed super city.

His proposal was defeated by a single vote which leads to the question; how did the Wairarapa representative, Gary McPhee vote?

Mr McPhee has no secret of the fact that he personally supports the amalgamation proposal. However when it came to this vote did he vote according to his personal preference of on behalf of his constituents who have clearly shown their opposition to it?

An ex pupil of Kahutara School- Kayne Horsham was an art director for creatures, armour and weapons for the Lord of the Rings film trilogy when he realised the fake chainmail that his team was creating could be made in a different way.

He created a 2D mesh of solid components calling it Kaynemaile – a seamless polycarbonate mesh, which is now used all over the world in buildings -google it and find out all about it!
