Wharekaka Fun

March 13, 2015 March 2015, Regular Features Comments Off on Wharekaka Fun

February was our month of fun and fitness at Wharekaka. We have been outside for walks and playing Croquet. Indoors we have played Boccia, Bowls and sports from a seat! Our weekly Pilates and Tai Chi classes are now back up and running. A reminder that there are some limited spaces available for those in the wider community that would like to get fit with us! You can contact Jemma on 06)3069701 if you would like to know more about our exercise or wider activities programme.
The highlight of our month was going out to see the female cyclists go past as part of the NZ Women’s Cycling Tour. Every single resident from Wharekaka went out onto Oxford Street to watch the race go past. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed a wonderful lunch out under the trees followed by an ice cream. It was great to see such a wonderful event in our town!
