Rangitikei Rambles

10 of us met at the Adobe Motel in Marton, an ideal base from which to attack the 6 Rangitikei Scenic Reserves.

Pryce’s Reserve, east of Rata was the first, a flat loop round the 13ha reserve with wonderful birdsong, and fantails flitting around for most of the route. The picnic tables provided a good morning tea spot, and refreshed, we set off for Bruce Park, about 6kms south of Hunterville.  … Continue Reading

In business it’s about people, it’s about relationships and how we collaborate !

May 10, 2021 May 2021 Comments Off on In business it’s about people, it’s about relationships and how we collaborate !

Communication is an essential aspect of everyday life and whether you realise it or not, we never stop communicating. This is especially true when it comes to business relationships and how we communicate with our stakeholders and clients.

The Association aims through its  RELATIONSHIP activities to grow collaborative relationships for the benefit of the South Wairarapa and our local members. Our region is made up of three unique towns each with its own drawcard. It is how we collaborate with those towns to bring us closer together, to learn from one another, to share problem solving,  to widen networks and to create organisational efficiencies. … Continue Reading

The Uninvited

The guest speaker at our 23 April meeting was Ken Gorbey, a remarkable man who for 15 years was involved with developing and realising the revolutionary cultural concept that became Te Papa Tongarewa Museum of New Zealand. There were over 2 million visits in the first year, three times the expected number.

Led by Ken, a young, inexperienced staff rose to the challenge and the museum opened to acclaim. Today the Jewish Museum Berlin is one of Germany’s premier cultural institutions, family oriented and devoted to the culture not to the holocaust. … Continue Reading

Golf pro-am success _ without clubhouse

By Karen Stephens A record field of 172 players, including 43 professionals from New Zealand and Australia, battled light winds, warm temperatures and even light early-morning fog at Martinborough golf’s 2024 CER Electrical and Holmes Construction pro-am on February 1. At least that was the range of excuses for some …
