Today is the only day we’ve got – tomorrow is a bonus

Martinborough Town Hall will be the place to be on Saturday 11 October, rain or shine (we must be due a warm sunny Saturday!) – at 10am there you will find all the usual stalls, from great country baking, produce, fashion accessories, trash & treasure and books. There will be a children’s stall, sausage sizzle and a raffle with many chances for fine prizes.

We’d love to see you there –

South Wairarapa Rotary are now seeking nominations from residents and/or employers in the South Wairarapa for persons whom they believe may be eligible for either a “Pride of Workmanship’ or a ‘Community Service’ Award.

People who consistently provide the highest standards of work , or a volunteer who is serving or has diligently served the community deserve to be recognised. If you know or work with someone of this calibre, such as an employee, a manager or volunteer please consider nominating them.

Rose-show Hopefully by now, we all have recovered from ‘Election Fever’ and are ready to return to the delights of gardening. It is still several weeks until our town’s famous occasion; the ‘Martinborough Rose & Flower Show’. However, early planning brings success.

Traditionally held early next month, this year ‘our’ show will be held on SATURDAY 22nd NOVEMBER.
With the uncertainties of climate, and a couple of extra weeks, it will be interesting to see a probable change in the type of exhibits. Of course, roses are timeless so there will be plenty to choose from for the Open and Novice Sections. Another major group is for ‘Cut Flowers’. … Continue Reading
