After quite a few years reporting for the Club I have decided that it is time to put away the pen and cast my mind back to what has happened.

I have been very lucky that the paper has not been had up for some of the terrible remarks that I have made over the years. It has been all I fun mostly. So thanks that you have not taken things further.

There are quite a few ‘thanks yous’ that have to be made. Firstly to Sue Berger for help in getting my comments to the paper. The Club is so lucky to have such a secretary – she is one of the best, who always makes things the best for the Club. … Continue Reading

From the Mayor

Laughter is the best medicine according to old time wisdom.  If this is true then anyone who was fortunate enough to attend Mark Hadlow’s MAMIL should be very well indeed.

It had to be one of the funniest shows even seen.  Mark’s endless talent for mimicry and his seamless ability to move from one character to another made for world class entertainment.  How great that this show was in Martinborough and performed by a resident no less.  It’s amazing just who is tucked away in South Wairarapa.  … Continue Reading

However Fitz was well aware that on his father’s death the estates would pass to the eldest son and he would have to look after himself. … Continue Reading

Golf pro-am success _ without clubhouse

By Karen Stephens A record field of 172 players, including 43 professionals from New Zealand and Australia, battled light winds, warm temperatures and even light early-morning fog at Martinborough golf’s 2024 CER Electrical and Holmes Construction pro-am on February 1. At least that was the range of excuses for some …
