THE LOVE OF WORDS

December 16, 2014 December 2014 Comments Off on THE LOVE OF WORDS

Every month, a loose group of people get together for the love the words. Sometimes the words are sung to a guitar, or stated as fact, often read aloud from a newly published book, or maybe fresh from the writer’s notebook. Sometimes it’s non-fiction, poetry, stories, a novel, or song. Wairarapa Word celebrates them all.

The group has been meeting for two years, first in Martinborough, then Greytown, and now usually in Carterton, at South Wairarapa’s bookstore, Almo’s Books. Larger events, such as with Fiona Farrell and Fiona Kidman, was at the Carterton Events Centre, and on December 7th, 3pm, when Glenn Colquhoun comes to the Wairarapa, the event will be at King Street Live, in Masterton.
