Its seems to be the hardest word

June 9, 2016 June 2016 Comments Off on Its seems to be the hardest word

I-t-apostrophe-s
Means “it is” (as in “it’s such a mess”)
But when “it” makes the mess
Then we say it’s “its” mess
In which case it’s apostrophe-less.

But when “it” is a dog
And we say “the dog’s mess”
The apostrophe’s back in the sandwich
So when our little shitzu’s
Downgraded to “it”
Should “its mess” not be “it’s”?
What a language!

“Lose” sounds like “loos”
And “to lose” like “Toulouse”
But don’t ever confuse “lose” with “loose”
While “loose” rhymes with “goose”,
“Puce”, “abuse” and “chartreuse”
As a stand-in for “lose” it’s no use.

“Lead” rhymes with “bread”
As in “lead killed him dead”
And with “bead” as in “leading the mission”
When a leader has led
Never write “he has lead”
Except when you mean “ammunition”.

Lost Bichon/Shitzu

June 9, 2016 June 2016 Comments Off on Lost Bichon/Shitzu

We are missing our tiny little fur baby somewhere in Martinborough. He must have jumped out of the window while I was picking up my toddler from Martinborough kindy. It has been 7days and were getting very worried sad and are running out of options.
I have put an advert on FB and have had lots of very kind people helping to search for him and have had reported sightings of him on the last farm before the bridge heading out of Martinborough towards Featherston. We (search party) scoped the entire farm and surrounding river beds where he was seen but still no small dog 🙁

I’m thinking he’s moved on.

He is a bichon/shitzu 8years old missing two bottom teeth. He’s used to farms and is a smart wee guy so finding shelter and food won’t be a problem for him. However he doesn’t like strangers AT ALL so its made it impossible to catch him and by the time I get there from Kahutara he’s long gone 🙁

We need help desperately and are hoping someone who doesn’t have FB or the internet has got him or has seen him.
The council have had calls days ago but nothing recently. Any help is more than appreciated. We are heartbroken and scared for our little guy

Please call or email: all4fox@hotmail.com I can send photos or whatever you need. (His name is Mr Jingles but AKA Pringles).
Thank you, Savana Bennett
