Murdoch James Estate is celebrating its 30th year as a Martinborough wine producer by winning gold medals and a trophy at two prestigious competitions in London. won gold for the Murdoch James Blue Rock Pinot Noir 2014 at the Decanter World Wine Awards and the International Wine Challenge (IWC), plus a trophy for the Blue Rock Pinot Noir at the IWC. The Martinborough Golf Club is in good spirits with club days and club competitions all being well supported. The Captains Trophy and Martin 4Ball club competitions in both the Women and Men divisions are underway for the year.

The club hosted the Wairarapa Women’s Open 4BBB at the end of April. The Women’s Committee were delighted that just over half of the field of 26 pairs were from our club. The course looked splendid in its autumn colours, and the visitors who came from Otaki, Masterton, Carterton and Riversdale enjoyed themselves. The Pair with the Best Gross, presented with the Wairarapa Open 4BBB Trophy with a Gross 73 also returned the Best Nett of 59, were Noora Rota and Jane Buchanan from Masterton. … Continue Reading

Madcaps is excited to announce our next show: ROCK TILL YOU DROP a TIME TRAVEL THE MUSICAL HIGHWAY. As the town hall will be undergoing strengthening and renovation we have found an alternative venue.

We are very excited to announce that the next show will be held at Hau Ariki Marae Martinborough from 14 to 17 September. Our producer is Steve Lewis and once again we have our very own Madcaps band.
