Celebrate the Martinborough Town Hall Centenary

Sunday 16 September 5pm – 7pm

Max Stevens and David Kershaw are the Masters of Ceremonies for the Martinborough Town Hall centenary celebration. The Mayor, Adrienne Staples, and MP, John Hayes, will arrive in vintage cars to a fanfare organised by former NZSO Horn player, Ed Allen. To mark the occasion a granite plaque has been donated by Robert Milne. Mr Milne has played the bagpipes for the annual ANZAC service held at the Hall for many years. This commemorative plaque, will be unveiled by Mrs Staples and Mr Hayes. There will be tasty finger food made by Providore, liquid refreshments, entertainment from MADCAPS and background music from Shane Cater.

Come along and celebrate this important milestone in the life of the Hall. A modest ticket price is being charged to kick off the massive fundraising required to ensure the Hall will be in good shape for the next 100 years.

t’s been a mixture of Weather this month. Residents have been taking full advantage of the few great days we have had to get out in the sunshine and go on drives and outings. Many thanks to the volunteers that offer their time and cars to do this.

In the rainy cold days we have kept warm with Pilates, Thai Chi and exercises everyday.
Residents have enjoyed indoor bowls and planting bulbs in pots in the lounge these will brighten up the home when they begin flowering.
