What is happening at the Martinborough Health Centre?

July 25, 2016 July 2016 Comments Off on What is happening at the Martinborough Health Centre?

What's-happening-at-the-Medical-Centre-(b)Martinborough will soon have our own pharmacy, with full time pharmacist as part of our medical centre!extension.

At long last building alterations have begun!
Martinborough Pharmacy is expected to be opened in October. It will be open from 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday and will expand this to Saturday if there is community demand for extended hours. The pharmacy, owned by Karen and Phil Crisp, will provide a high level dispensing service to the community and work closely with the medical centre staff. Most of your medicines will be able to be dispensed while you wait. Your pharmacist will be readily available to offer care and advice.

The Trust would like to thank Lang’s pharmacy in Featherston for providing a reliable and friendly depot service for the last ten years in Martinborough.

The Martinborough Health Centre facility, owned by the community through the Ruamahunga Health Trust, is being extended at both ends of the building to incorporate a pharmacy, better ambulance access, and a new entrance on Oxford Street. In the process, the consulting rooms along Oxford Street will be repositioned and improved. This will allow more visiting specialists from the hospital to come to Martinborough, saving patients travel time and inconvenience. The Trust wishes to acknowledge and thank the Martinborough Lions Club, which leases the land to the Trust on which the Health Centre is built.
