Science came to Martinborough recently, with the whole of the school focused on the theme of cause and effect. Sixty exhibits by Years 5 to 8 filled the hall, with the junior school’s posters around the walls. Spring has arrived at Martinborough Playcentre and the children are making the most of the sunny days with lots of outdoor play. We have been looking at the concept of growth and regeneration. This highlight of this topic was our visit to Naumai farm at Ruakokopatuna on Tuesday September 3 where we saw lambs and calves and feed the pigs and hens. This was followed by daffodil picking which was enjoyed by all.

At centre we have received a delivery of resources from the Wairarapa Playcentre Association and have been busy with clay on the new clay table and been creative  with the new collage and art supplies.

Playcentre is located at 38 Venice Street. Visitors are welcome! Our sessions run Mon, Tues, Wed during term time from 9am -12. Phone 3069068 or email martinborough_playcentre@hotmail.com for more info.
