July club night featured Bay of Plenty Bluesman Mike Garner with blues harp player extraordinaire, Neil Billington. Garner and Billington were on fire and played to an enthusiastic audience at the Tin Hut. Billington’s reputation as NZ’s finest exponent of the blues harmonica, was well proven and vocals shared with Mike were superb!

August is a Members’ Night (World Famous in Wairarapa) and some of the many very fine musicians who call Wairarapa home will perform. Dot Kids Makariki Evening

August 11, 2015 August 2015 Comments Off on Dot Kids Makariki Evening

Dot Kids Makariki On the evening of Friday 3rd July we held our ‘Matariki Evening’ with the children putting on their production of ‘Taniwha’ for their parents and whanau, a beautiful lantern walk around the outdoor environment, and lastly our kai of soups, rewena bread and boil up!

We would like to take this opportunity to again thank the DOT Kids community for their generous donations of time and vegetables for our soup and boil up. We had an amazing turn out on the night and it was great for the children and teachers to showcase their skills and talents at the production.
