The days of being forced to listen to endless streams of call centre’s muzac will be over for Spaniards.

The Spanish Cabinet has approved a draft law imposing a waiting time limit of three minutes.

The fines will be up to 10,000 Euros for companies which fail to answer within the three minutes, rising to 100,000 Euros for repeat offenders or if a vulnerable person is affected.

The Law will apply to all utility companies regardless so of their size and firms with more than 250 employees of whose annual revenue is greater than fifty million Euros.

A survey in Britain last year found that 44% of people were forced to wait between five and twenty minutes for their call to be answered.

While Anika Wells, who has three kids under five, is the Minister for Aged Care.

The Multicultural Affairs Minister is a white guy, as indeed have been the last TEN ministers for multicultural affairs.
