What a change the weather makes; most players at the club have all got smiles on their faces and whether they win or lose it is still great to see.

Numbers have been very good at the club lately – even the Grumpy’s have kept their numbers up with an average of 20 to 30 playing every week and the humour over a glass of water at the end of play is brilliant. I have been to many sporting fixtures in my time but on Friday 21 June I was at a function for the Grumpy’s when I heard the biggest load of rubbish in announcing the winner of the Grumpy’s Cup – but it was amazing, and the lucky recipient of the cup was Michael Hatrick. My thanks to Terry Blacktop for such a brilliant evening.
The 9 holers are holding their own and are going from strength to strength; the results keep on coming through every week and Pat Wood has had a stellar month.

The 18 hole ladies held a very successful open day during the month where a hole in one was scored by a visitor from Karori, Lillian Lai. Club winners on the day were Sandra Peterson, Kaye McIsaac, Marilyn McKenzie and Marie Scrimshaw. … Continue Reading
